The Heritage era

Tradition met a new age of engineering.

Between 1965 and 2003, Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars evolved from groundbreaking hydraulic sophistication to turbocharged performance and increasingly advanced electronic control.

These cars combine traditional craftsmanship with complex systems that demand genuine marque knowledge.

The Silver Shadow transformed Rolls-Royce engineering with monocoque construction, self-levelling suspension and sophisticated hydraulics. The architecture that followed became more refined, more capable and more technically involved with every generation.

Bentley's performance revival added another dimension, from the Mulsanne Turbo and Turbo R to the Continental R and Azure. By the Arnage and Silver Seraph era, specialist maintenance required experience, diagnostic skill and an intimate understanding of both traditional and modern systems.

1980-1997 Power and evolution Silver Spirit, Silver Spur, Mulsanne, Turbo R and Continental R
1998-2003 Modern complexity Silver Seraph, Bentley Arnage, Azure and Continental derivatives

Specialist hydraulic knowledge matters.

The braking, suspension and self-levelling systems fitted throughout this period require correct diagnosis, careful maintenance and an informed approach to overhaul. RRBSA members understand both the engineering and the importance of preserving factory-correct operation.
